English at home #2: Well done!
お家で英語♯2：よくできました！
Recently we had a question asking us how to praise children using English.
最近「ほめるとき、英語ではどのように言いますか？」という質問を受けました。
There are lots of useful expressions we can use to praise the children.
お子さんをほめる便利なフレーズはたくさんあります。
We can often hear the phrase “Good job!” being used on the TV, but there are many others too!
テレビでは「グッド・ジョブ」がよく言われているけど、他にもたくさんあります！
Here a list of phrases we can use, to praise children at home.
お家でお子さんを英語でほめるフレーズは以下の通りです。
Maruchan is helping to clean up.
まるちゃんが片付けを手伝ってくれたとき。
“Thanks. You’re a good boy / girl”.
「サンクス！ユア・ア・グッド・ボーイ / ガール」
ありがとう！まるちゃんは偉い子ね！
“Thank you for helping me”.
「サンキュー・フォー・ヘルピング・ミー」
手伝ってくれてありがとう。
“You’re a good little helper”.
「ユア・ア・グッド・リトル・ヘルパー」
助かったよ！
“Thank you so much”.
「サンキュー・ソー・マッチ」
本当にありがとう。
Maruchan drew a lovely picture.
まるちゃんが素敵な絵を描けたとき。
“It’s really good”.
「イッツ・リアリー・グッド」
とても上手！
“Wow, it’s great!”
「ワオ・イッツ・グレイト」
ワオ！すごいね！
“It’s fantastic!”
「イッツ・ファンタスティック」
素晴らしい！
“What a wonderful picture!”
「ワタ・ワンダフル・ピクチャ」
素敵な絵だね！
“Well done!”.

よくできたよ！

まるちゃんが朝ごはんを全部を食べられたとき。
“Well done”.

“Wow!”

すごい！
Of course you don’t have to worry about using all of the phrases.
もちろん、全部をいっぺんにで使わなくていいですよ（笑）。
