English at Home #4: Which one do you want? This one or this one?
お家でイングリッシュ＃４：どれがいい？これ？それともこれ？
There are so many things that children want! Games, toys, sweets, ice cream.
子供たちは欲しい物がいっぱいありますよね ！ゲーム、おもちゃ、お菓子、アイスなど…
But they can’t have everything, right?
でも全部もらえませんよね。
The next phrase is a good one to help them choose something.
これから紹介するフレーズで選びやすくなるはず！
Look at the situation below.
次のシチュエーションを見てみましょう。
You are in the convenience store.
あなたは今コンビににいます。
Your child is thirsty and wants to buy a drink.
お子さんがのどが渇いていて、飲み物を欲しがっています。
Off they run, and they come back holding coffee!
どこかに行って、コーヒーを持って来てしまいました！
Mum: Wow…. do you like coffee?
（ワオ…ドゥー・ユー・ライク・コッフィ？）
ママ：あらまぁ…コーヒー好きなの？
Maruchan: …………Yes.
（イェス）
まるちゃん：…好き。
Mum: I don’t think so. (walk to the drinks together)
（アイ・ドント・スィンク・ソウ）
ママ：本当は好きじゃないと思うけど… （一緒に飲み物の所に行く）
Which one do you want?
（ウィッチ・ワン・ドゥー・ユー・ウォント？）
どれがいい？
This one (point to one drink) or this one (point to another drink)?
（ディス・ワン・オア・ディス・ワン？）
これ？（指を刺す）それともこれ？（他の飲み物に指を刺す）
Maruchan: This one (encourage them to point at the drink which they want).
（ディス・ワン！）
まるちゃん：これ！（指さして言える方がいいですね）
This simple questions can be used at home, too.
このシンプルな質問はお家でも使えます。
When the children start choosing their own clothes; or are choosing what they want for breakfast.
お子さんが自分で服を選びたいときや朝ごはんを選びたときなど。
There are so many situations, which is why it is an important phrase.
選ばなくてはいけないことが多くあるので、このフレーズは大切です。
