We made a word wall.
今年度は、レッスンルームの壁に「ワードウォール」というものを作りました。

I am surprised, they know lots of English words!
生徒さんたち、単語を本当によく知っていて、とっても驚きました！
It’s okay not to know everything at first.
最初はわからないものがあってもOK。
We like it when students ask questions.
みんなが質問してくれるのが嬉しいよ。

Today they said perfectly, “How do you spell ….?”
あるクラスでは、「〇〇はどうやって書くの？」と英語できちんと聞いてくれました。
I told them to think of English words and they knew “Initials, Welcome, Gentleman, Have, Doctor, Nice, Question, Answer…”
まず、各アルファベットから始まる英語を考えてもらったんだけど、どんどん単語が出てくるの！
They understand the meaning of these words and now they knew how to spell them.
意味ももちろんわかっているし、もうどうやって書くかも覚えました。

They can always look at the word wall to remember how to spell.
いつでもスペルが確認できるように「ワードウォール」は生徒さんの目につくところにあります。
