She said it is colder this year because of the volcanic eruption.

今年がこんなに寒いのは、火山の噴火が起こったからなんだよっておしえてくれました。

The volcano eruption released sulfur dioxide to cool the Earth’s surface.

火山の噴火によって噴出した二酸化硫黄が、地球の表面を覆ってしまって、気温を下げているんだって。

This year’s winter is going to be longer.

We are going to have shorter summer.

だから今年の冬は長くなって、夏が短くなるみたい。

I am sad to know that.

I love to do many things in the summer.

それはちょっと悲しいな。

夏にやりたいこといっぱいあるのに。
