Halloween is over!
ハロウィンが終わりましたね！
We had fun Halloween classes!
ハロウィンレッスンも楽しく行いました。
We reviewed Halloween characters and practiced “trick or treat”.
ハロウィンキャラクターを復習したり、トリックオアトリートをやったり。
For the first time in 3 years, we had a Halloween event!
大きなハロウィンパーティを開催したのはなんと３年ぶり！
The kids wore cute, funny, and scary costumes.
こどもたちは、かわいかったりおもしろかったりこわーいコスチュームを身に着けてきてくれました。
It was really good to meet parents.
保護者の方にお会いできたのもとてもよかったです。
It was really good to meet other foreign teachers.
私たち以外の外国人の先生たちにも来てもらって、楽しめました。
They saw their kids talk to foreign teachers.
保護者の方の前で、ネイティブの先生たちとお話しているところを見ていただけました。
They received candies and played carnival games.
ゲームをやって、お菓子ゲットできたかな？
Which game did you enjoy the most?
なんのゲームが一番楽しかった？
Did you know there are “221” candies in the pumpkin?
パンプキンの中のキャンディの数は２２１個だったよ！
How many did you guess?
何個と予想したかな？
Did you like the Hiccups play?
しゃっくりの劇はおもしろかった？
The kids thought how to stop J-kun Skeleton hiccups!
Ｊくんスケルトンがどうやったらしゃっくりが止められるか、がんばって考えてくれたね！
Someone punched him to get rid of his hiccups.
パンチしたら止められる、とか（笑）
That was so funny.
おもしろかったー！
Then we all danced Skeleton dance.
そして最後にみんなでスケルトンダンス！
You could see how they danced so well.
みんな上手に踊っているのが見られて嬉しかったよ。

HSJ’s Events like Halloween party teach the kids that it’s good to have fun with English.
ホップステップジャンプのハロウィンパーティのようなイベントは、こどもたちに「英語で何かを楽しむこととは」ということをおしえてくれます。
Meeting new people from time to time will help the kids realize that speaking English is a way of life not just a subject to learn at school.
時に新しい人に出会うことは、英語がただ学校で学ぶ教科ではなくて、生活の一部であるということをこどもたちに認識してもらうことの手助けになると思います。
