Do you know about Aprils fools? On April first, we trick our friends and family! Just remember to say April Fools after you play your trick.

エイプリルフールって知っていますか？

４月１日は、お友達や家族にウソをついたりいたずらして良い日！ただ、いたずらのあとにはちゃんと「エイプリルフールだよ」と伝えるのは忘れないでくださいね。

 When I was a kid we would plan out which tricks we would do. My favorite trick was to take Oreos and scrape out the white icing and replace the icing with white toothpaste. I would then try to give the “Oreos”  to my little brother and my dad. My mom was too smart to be tricked!

私がこどものときは、どんなウソをつこうかなと計画したものでした。

私が好きだったいたずらは、オレオの中身のクリームを歯磨き粉に変えちゃういたずら。弟とかパパにあげたんだけど、ママは全然ひっかからないの！

One year, April fools was on Saturday. My mom and dad woke us up early and said that we were going to be late for school. They quickly got us dressed and we rushed to get to school. It wasn’t until I was in the car ready to go to school that I realized it was Saturday and didn’t have school!

ある年の土曜日のエイプリルフール。ママとパパは朝早く起きて「学校に遅れちゃう！」って言ったの。急いで私と弟を着替えさせて、学校にも急いで行って。

学校に行く支度をして車に乗り込んで初めて、今日は土曜日で学校ないじゃん！って気づいたの！

Hmm, I wonder what I should do this year on April 1st. 

うーん、今年のエイプリルフールはどうしよっかなぁ。

Oh! This might be a good time to announce that I’ve decided to dye my hair pink and shave off one of my eyebrows! 😉

あ、そうだ！そういえば私、髪の毛をピンクに染めて、まゆ毛を片方剃ったって言おうと思ってたんだ！
